My DBS wheels will come with Pirelli P-Zeros, trying to find decent reviews, nothing for a big powerful car. Any opinions? They're the regulare Zeros, not rosso, nero or corsa.

I know the V12V lot moan about how poor their tyres are when cold (Corsas), does the P-Zero suffer from this as well or is it no worse than a normal tyre? I do a lot of miles, cold weather and rain are very likely.

Just want to maintain all-year useability!!

I think the regular ones are used on the 599 GTB, Maseratis, and the Audi R8, might be worth a look for reviews on those.

If true - that's great! The V12Vs sticky-shoes seem far to specialised for the kind of driving I'll be doing.

I'm fairly sure it's true, they definitely use some variant of P-Zero smile

A lot of the more hardcore models seem to use P-Zero Corsas, pretty sure the 430 Scud and 599 GTO use them.

Does the MP4-12C not use regular P-Zeros as standard, with the option "track tyre" being the Corsa too?

The vanilla p zero is actually the newest version of the p zero range (if you ignore the silver) and probably well suited to the DBS, you certainly won't have warm up issues to the extent the corsa boys do!

Constructive comment time....

Winter tyres are bloody great!

I have done about 1000 miles on mine and I feel so much safer in the cold and wet than I did with the P-Zero Corsa V12V standard tyres. I am pretty sure that you don't have to get the tyres and wheels for a DBS, the Sotto Zero tyres fit the standard DBS wheels. So you could get a set of P Zero and a set of Sotto Zero and just swap 'em out.

Now, time for a moan. Where's my bloody teddy bear?

I have said this before but a new V12V intermediate tyre is imminent. Designed by Pirelli with AM involvement and currently awaiting stock to be produced before formal announcement within the next 8 weeks or so (confirmed by both my local dealer and by AM works). Not sure if they are available for DBS but might be worth looking in to.

I personally have no problem with the V12V standard tyre. I still have the original set after 14000 miles and a couple of days ago was driving quickly in the rain, at 4 deg c, overtaking regularly on cotswold b roads that I know well without any problems. I would have been much more wary in my GT3. I will be looking at the intermediate though as potentially a better choice for all year round driving once it is released.

Aha, that's pretty much what I wanted to hear; that they're a general tyre, not a sticky track special like the V12V. Partway explains why the V12V is as fast as it is I think, otherworldly grip is quite a shock when you get it smile

Not expecting or needing a winter tyre, if it's *really* cold I can go steady on a sunny day or leave it at home on a wet day!
