Happy new year everyone!
Anyone know if you need a snow foam lance if you use a Nilfisk P150, which has the option to use a in built-detergent mix bottle fitted to the unit?
I don't mind buying a seperate lance such as :-

but it's just more stuff to have lying around.

See: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

So yes, probably, unless whatever is supplied with that model is significantly better (i.e. has control of output).

I've used the std bottle that came with my Nilfisk and it seemed to work OK.

The easiest answer would be to try it. If the results are OK, don't buy owt else...

The detetrgent bottle that I had with my Nilfisk was pretty poor unless you are spraying detergent on your patio.

I bought a snow foam lance and a gallon of Magifoam and it is excellent.
You get a really thick foam that stays on the car for ages.
Have a look on www.detailingworld.com and there were group buys for the foam and lances at discounted prices. The lance and a small ammount of foam was about £40 from memory.

There is a debate if there is any advantage to using snowfoam or not, I would definately recommend it especially if I owned an Aston with the softest paint known to man.

I've used it on my seriously dirty landrover and after pressure washing the foam off, the car is virtually clean and just needs a quick sponge off.
There is very little dirt left to be rubbed into your paint and cause those nasty swirls.
