Aston Martin dealer discounts?
Discussion
Does anybody know what sort of margins Aston work to on used cars they are selling?
Do they like to barter, or once a price has been discussed that is it?
I would like to buy a v8v roadster, 57/08 vintage and the lack of private cars is forcing me towards the main dealers, who in the conversations seem very good in their knowledge etc but seem to play cards close to chest in regards pricing and what they can do.
Just needs some background from others who have had more dealings with AM?
Thanks

Dealers work on 10-15% depending on the market Max. Remember, on that age car they will be throwing in a £1.4k Extended Warranty too
In the open season, their stock is rotated quickly so they have no reason to negotiate. This is close season, especially for Roadsters.
The key, as always, is to get the car you want at an acceptable price, whilst making the vendor believe they have won the negotiation. They will be thinking the same way.
Some Manufacturers over the last few years - BMW - have not reduced their prices per se, rather they have thrown a lot of optional extras into the mix as standard. Not sure on Aston's policy.
You could make clear rears or premium stereo, for example, a condition for paying the required price

Try Gary at Grange Essex Aston Martin, did a great deal on a new roadster, got a good discount off list plus ve good price in px for my 4.3 Roadster. Aston give incentives to the dealership based on how much available stock is hanging around,
Yeah - and ask him where's my teddy!DB9 Volantes in dark colour, dark interior are fetching asking prices even now.
I have been looking for the past 3/4 months.
Finally got one of Stratstones but had to pay the asking price plus £800 to include a clear light upgrade and change all the Walnut to piano black facia.
I know of a 2005/55 plate Black on Black DB9 Volante with 14500 miles, 1 previous owner in very good nick that has become available again that I put an offer on a month ago.
It is a private sale up in Welwyn,Herts.
If interested let me know and I can email you his details.

Max B, I’m doing a similar thing at the moment. I’ve seen grange drop about 6-7% on a couple of cars.... one was very high spec in black 07 reg but 08 spec low mileage... I also looked at another black one with a very interesting history and the indy was up for a deal.
JohnG1 & Mr Purple, if I get mine from Grange I’ll make sure I get them to sort the teddies out :-).... I must admit I hadn’t realised they were an optional extra... sports suspension..... engine upgrade... high gloss grill... teddy bear ;-) BBut defo adding it to the list now.

Really? That sounds a good offer to me.
I thought it was a strong offer, but obviously not. Thanks Tarks63, I was looking for a silver or tungsten car, I wasn't too fussed about the interior colour as long as it wasn't to garish
On Wednesday,I paid a deposit on a 07 Titanium Silver with Black leather, I should be collecting the end of next week or early the week after.
Thanks for the replies all.
It certainly seems there is more than the 4% off I was offered to try and close a deal on a car today by one of the main dealers but it all depends if they want to play ball or not.
So aside from clear rear lights and the most important teddy, should I even try and ask for anything else if I end up negotiating on any other cars....or do you think I'll get thrown out from Aston dealers if I ask for a 10% discount, clear rear lights and a teddy
