At long last the Evoque has arrived.

Pics taken at dealers whilst still clean, prior to 200 mile drive home through rain and sleet.

1st impression is that its a very competent winter addition for when the weather makes driving the Aston a bad idea. Its got loads of technology and is comfortable and fun to drive.

So glad we got red as every other you see appears to be white.

Very happy so far.

I really hated this car in photos, but seeing them on the road is such a change. They're very good looking actually.

It's a cliché but true. thumbup Nice choice of colour too.

Di,

Looks really good in red - I have only seen Black or white before so good to see some originality. We have a RRS and would really recommend you get on a Land Rover Experience event if you haven't before and you will really see what it can do! Also good to know what buttons to press to get the most out of it.

Have fun!

Looks absolutely fantastic. I would very, very much like to get one of these in my garage, please enjoy yours in what is certainly the best colour for it!

Sadly not available, nor is D14 ERR, but Di could get D14 BRR or D14 MRR (Baby or Mini RR).

Hey Di, whilst I normally admire your taste in everything I'm sorry but this does nothing for me at all, in fact it looks, to me, like someone's dropped a skip on it.

I'm probably in a minority of one and everyone will flame me (especially my good friend Ian) but I've never seen the point of "sporty 4x4s". IMHO they fail on both counts, neither one thing or the other. Still each to his/her own.

Lovely colour though, reminds me of a certain Aston hehe

Lovely colour. I really like the Evoque but this must be the first time I'd prefer a 4 door variant over a 2-door.

I feel the same, not my cup of tea, but by all accounts they're meant to be a very good car.

I really like the colour that it's in. Is it the full 4x4, or the 2wd one?

Di,
Very nice. I think they look much better in the flesh than in photos. The interiors are very nice too! Good choice with red, I have only seen black or white ones on the road.

Thanks for the mainly positive replies guys, i do understand they might not be to everyone's taste. Really just wanted something a little different that should still serve its intended purpose.

In answer to questions, it's the top of the range Dynamic with panoramic roof and dynamic pack which includes tv and all round cameras etc. it's the 4 wheel drive petrol model with the Focus engine so it's not too much of a sluggard either.

Looking at the impending weather it might get to test its worthiness very soon.

Oh, and I did get an off road driving experience thrown in which should be fun.

Di

Ps I did look for a D14 RRE plate but like Shmee said someone's nicked it frown

Nice one Di - hope you have fun with it.

Why don't you get Tony to build a bonfire in your garden, invite Georgeous and LBS round, then see which one is quickest at pissing on it, eh biggrin

BTW, I actually thought the plate was already personalised, with cockney Tony reverting to his Welsh roots smile
