Driving from Plymouth to Cheltenham tomorrow to test/view a DB9.

If I decide to buy , what MPG should I expect a DB9 to return around town/on a run ?

Runner911, you know that Astons drink like Oliver Reed, Especially those v12 ones.

I moved from a Vantage to DB9 and mpg is pretty similar in my view. On a long run then 20sh but do little town driving it in. Worst I have had was low teens when having fun in France on an Angouleme trip.

Have fun choosing biggrin

I've averaged 15.6mpg over nearly 4k miles. Around town I usually get between 8 and 10 because I keep it in first all the time, best I've had is around 24 on the motorway at a constant 75 ish, but it's so dull to drive like that.

I think with cruise control set to the French speed limit of 82mph (in France) mine showed 26mpg on the instant. Can't complain really!

Honestly, if mpg is a concern, I really wouldn't bother with an Aston. It's not what they're good at...

23 - 24 mpg on long continental runs. 19 mpg in a mainly rural environment.

The reason I started this topic was because on reading the " Autocar " report on testing the DB9 , I was somewhat concerned to learn that only 9 MPG was achieved in town driving and 12 MPG on a run !

Had to be wrong.

Last year I did 9 MPG at a track day at Silverstone. I would be very surprised if you could get less than 13 MPG in normal urban driving.
