Just saw this on another thread: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU_Nt-H0bAE&fea...

No idea what the guy was thinking, but I applaud his efforts / lunacy.

hehe

There's a Vanquish engine for sale now - http://www.racecarsdirect.com/listing/36005/new_as...

and if I'm sure there was a DBS V12 on ebay not so long ago, think it was up for circa £15k

Makes my Norton Commando look like a Bantam 125smile

If any of the above makes sense the you're older than you admit.

pah!
would beat that easily on top speed on the `Busa!
mad, bad, totally pointless and utterly fantastic. Wouldn't fancy trying to hold on to that whilst cracking the throttle fully open though.

Agree, pointless, yet somehow completely brilliant.

Some googling suggests it can be yours for a mere €98,000!

I would suggest this to be a futile exercise unless undertaken just outside an A&E department smile

I would never buy or ride a motorbike.

But that's bloody bonkers and I want one just to look at.

I do like the exhaust manifolds - bet he gets more power than stock - no cats, just a straight pipe!

hate cruiser style bikes. Soooo want this. Its insane. Love the fact its an auto with a manual hand operated gear lever. Means it must have a reverse gear. That has go to be bloody brilliant. Probably needs it though just because of its weight.
needs work on the exhausts though, sounds terrible.
the only bike better than this is the American one with the jet engine in it, now that is truly bonkers.

My OH cut his teeth on a Bantam, had a 750 Commando, and ended his Brit affair with a Bonneville T140D before going to the Harley dark side. He spent years trying to trace his Triumph which he so regrets selling. I shall post a pic tomorrow if I can find. 'twas a beauty.

I must meet up with Tony, we could natter all day.

My first bike was a Bantam 125 (ex GPO hehe), then I went on to T20 S/L Tiger Cubs, BSA A65 Rocket Lighting and various "Bonnies", the last of that period being a T120R. A twonk in a Saab knocked me off that, broke both legs etc etc, and I gave up biking for a while.

25 years later I came back to modern stuff, Honda Blackbird, Fireblade etc, but I've recently seen the light and now have a 1969 Commando Fastback (must take some decent pics for posting).

I'm afraid I've never seen the attraction of "Hogs" but each to his own. Does Tony have the obligatory grey beard and "pot" helmet?
(no need for any rude jokes here Jockman).

Indeed it does to me, I'm sorry to say! First time on a motorbike was a Commando at the age of 14. From then on I was hooked on bikes and owned a beautiful Norton Commando 850 Interstate for several years. I do regret selling that bike in order to buy a Honda 750 four. Came with built in oil leaks and vibration but certainly attracted lots of looks ( mainly from old men so better not go into that too much!)

As "W" once said, (well I sort of hope he did if not true) - the problem with the French is that they don't have a word for entrepreneur ...biggrin

Oh, and from my side I never got the hog thing (each to their own), but could stretch to Triumphs, etc....anyone remember the 1970's Kwaka H1A or the Honda CBX 1000?
