Had a missed call and answerphone message from Reading Aston - my extended warranty had run out on my car, would I like to renew it..? Can't speak to the chap until Monday now.

I bought my car 31st January this year, doesn't the warranty last for a year? I am wondering if they have my info mixed up with the previous owner (they had it serviced there fron new) as this has happened before when the rung me for my annual service halfway through the year.

Surely a main dealer car has a year's extended warranty??

Sounds like a simple admin error. smile main dealer cars tend to get "at least" one years warranty.

My thoughts too - just wondered if I'd got the wrong end of the stick again!

I've had a call from reading asking why I hadn't dropped my car off for a service once,,,, they had me mixed up with someone else......

Maybe next time I drop mine off there I may accidentally get confused and drive home in a DBS Volante!! wink

What is the price, to extend the warranty on a DB9.

I'm looking to buy, and the car I'm looking at, only has a month left on the AM warranty, and would like to extend it for another 12 months.

Will be ~£250.00 to have it inspected by a dealer. If you get it services at the same time a number of dealers will include the inspection in for 'free'
Is it under 5 years old? Warranty cover is different ( a lot less covered after 5 years). IIRC ~£1100.00pa.

Thanks for the quick reply, yes I know the car would have to be inspected.

It gives me a bargaining tool, whe negotiating the price.

Thanks again

£250 for the inspection and £1480 for the year on a DB9....if its more than 5 years old then circa £1650 for the warranty limited to max claim of 10k

Quality isn't cheap wink

Not sure whether I will pay to renew warranty. My car is so heavily modified and will only be getting changed more... I doubt anything would be honoured!

In almost a year, I have had a bit of window rubber trim replaced. That's it in 8-9k miles!

The car I'm looking at is a 2006, so thats £1900 for a warranty, looks like I will be bargaining hard !
