Hi everybody, just a quick question... was there any change after 2009 on the Vantage side mirrors?

I've noticed that most of the 2010 onwards Vantages have larger side mirrors.... i've also checked and it doesn't seem as an option.

Also, on the premium Audio option (700W) are any of the 'premium' parts (amps etc) installed on the radio unit OR is the radio unit same as the normal (150W) audio?

The mirrors did change, I believe due to EU laws on how big they have to be. Great eh.

The radio unit is the same. When you change the amps for the two amps, install rear speakers, add the front speaker and change the sub, then when the config file is changed, it updates the radio to add fade, surround etc.

Lots of detail in the manual - page 8.2 states that the Premium Audio gets the following additional features over the std audio :

  • Door mounted speakers upgraded to 100W
  • Two additional rear environment 100W speakers added (each with mid-range and tweeter units)
  • Additional 100W centre-fill speaker
  • Subwoofer speaker upgraded to 200W
  • Dolby Pro-Logic II
  • Total power output of 700W

Hi Adam, thanks for that.

Page 8.2 however doesn't specify if any of the amplifiers are actually on the the head/radio unit.

Question: If you install the radio/head unit from a standard audio car, to a premium audio car , will it affect the power output?
