Sod that
911 C4 for me and when it gets worse we'll bring out the Landy!
Just not enough room on the roads for fun, no margin for error. I remember being on track in the pouring rain at Castle Combe in my DB7, pushed harder every lap, some lovely tail out stuff but eventually I spun at Quarry Corner!
Made me realise that no amount of driver aids can stop the inevitable and I'm just not *that* good

Bah! I prefer a total exclusion zone with submarines lurking to take out Belgrano (ask yer Grandpa)...
Did you know the Belgrano survived the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour (as the USS Phoenix) to be the only ship ever sunk by a nuclear submarine (HMS Conqueror)? Long history for that ship! yeti said:

Oh, I can bore for England on this sort of thing. And you know that they were Second World War era torpedos used as the Captain did not trust modern technology? And they flew the Jolly Roger when they sailed into home port afterwards?

Oh, and it was Nuclear powered, not nuclear / ballistic armed - Hunter killer type of sub.
This must be a record even for the Aston Forum. How on earth can a thread about having a play on wet roads go off piste to the sinking of the Belgrano in half a dozen or so posts and especially without Jockmans input.
Never know what I'm going to read. This place is certainly the font of all knowledge.

Afternoon Di, how's the shoulder??
Hi Tim.Shoulder is much improved thank you. Its a shame my op prevented the SW meet I was trying to arrange. Maybe next year.
My consultant wants me off until the new year but I intend to go back to work beginning of December.
Back behind the wheel regularly now, tis wonderful.
