It's the bag that's just big enough for some lippy and a tissue that Mrs Jockman takes with her on a posh night out...

A nice Chanel in beige/cream quilted leather with silver fastening and strap was £1250 when I bought one in 2009. I don't know what they cost now. The beautiful blonde from yesterday has at least two of her own :-)

I'm getting worried about him.

Doesn't drink. Doesn't like the unhealthy kebabs etc from that other thread. Now discussing handbags. Drives a Vantage...

Nah, I was hoping for some violence!*

More police than protestors. All dull. Nothing to see here - move along

  • =not really, but it would have been a distraction from the day-to-day...

I'm surprised, knowing your luck recently, they would have taken their anger out on a certain Mako blue V12V and it would be back to Works Service hehe

we had a discussion about going for a drink in The Globe so we could watch, but decided protesting students and drunks in a pub would not mix well!

Off topic. I heard a story about a soldier in Northern Ireland in the bad old days. He was trapped by a large mob that was starting to look like a lynch mob.

Anyway, there are a lot of verbals "we're gonna skin you squaddie", "we'll cut off your balls". With some considerable presence of mind the soldier says
"There are hundreds of you but only one of me. But this rifle has 30 rounds in the clip [cocks rifle, safety catch to live] and so I'm going to shoot you first [points to ringleader] and then you, and you and you. So let's be having you then"

Mob sways and then disperses.

I don't have an rifle but the first finger lain on that car would find itself at the end of a broken arm....

But I've never driven to work voluntarily - too stressful. Don't mind in someone elses car but V12V is not fun arounds my route to work.
