Hi,

Ever since buying my Aston V8 Vantage, I have had issues with the tyre pressure sensor. I get the message 'tyre system fault' after about 15 mins of driving. Sometimes it goes off after another 10 mins of driving, other times it just stays on blocking my digital speedo.

Aston picked up the car earlier in the week, checked the tyre for slow punctures, re-calibrated the sensors, and this still hasnt fixed the issue.

Has anybody else had this issue, is it a faulty sensor, or a faulty tyre altogether?

Having just bought a Vantage I have also had this message and as you have stated the message also cleared.

I have had BMW's in the past with this problem, I eventually had the sensors removed and the system de-activated.

Does anyone know if the Aston system can be de-activated?

Believe it or not, just a drop in temperature can cause it. Hope it gets sorted.

My old 4.7 roadster used to do this - PITA
On the older system I think you cna just pull the power plug on the back of the unit to disable it.
New system with the pressure displayed in the dash is much better.

Wasn't there a previous thread on this, where the error did not occur, if the car was switched on, allowed to do its Systems Check, and then starter button pressed?

I can also vouch for the temp drop as a potential cause.

As per usual, thanks for putting my mind at ease. Unfortunately something major went wrong last night at 3am, will start a new thread to discuss.
