The beast has been in the dealership for two weeks awaiting a new fuel filler valve/vent (yes 2 weeks honest!) it was duly returned but had gained a new addition - the pungent smell of super unleaded inside the cabin.

Now it was bad enough that it had to go back in AGAIN after two weeks away (and with the last of the good weather now gone!), but the replacement for the beast was a.......... Cygnet - luckily it was dark by the time I drove home last night biggrin

It is the first one I have spent time getting up close and personal with and must confess it looks quite funky at the front, tastefully finished in Meteorite Grey. It even has keyless go and a funky interior, but this car shouldn't wear the Aston badge IMO it drives like an iQ (as if it is on stilts) and I happened to look at the list price of said Cygnet - nearly £37,000 - eek - you can get a lot of nice cars for that type of dosh.

Save yourself £10,000 and get yourself a nice DB7 while the other Aston is in for a service. Now thats good consumer advice!

Not a bad ploy Grant, going from RWD to FWD as the snows approach.

Enjoy your mini-me and good luck with the repairs smile

st, regardless of it being a badged-up IQ I'd expect something of similar ilk to my Aston if it was in for that long. Not a poxy runabout... Surely they must have a used Aston in stock you could use?

In 4 odd years of Aston ownership I have either declined a courtesy car for logistical reasons or I have been offered a snotter like a 316 diesel :-(

Top Tip.

Stick on some blue make up and a bit of lippy too.

Ok fair idea, but your forgetting the Scotch tradition of not wearing anything under the skirt and you have to step UP into a Cygnet, it's bad enough having to drive about in the C-car, and I certainly don't want to attract further attention by being arrested when I get out wink

I Just saw a cygnet parket up, nice but not worth the money imho. How long before someone starts making kits to make iq's look like them!?

I'm all for it, AM should enforce that all Service departments only provide Cygnets as courtesy vehicles.......

It's better for the planet, more economical, easier to park and not so bloody noisey........

Sorry I seem to have lost it,this is what being between Astons can do to you......be warned.paperbag

I'd rather be seen in a Cygnet than a 316 diesel.
