I receive a text message from the dealership my car had been having it's service at last week saying:

Aston Martin Dealership said:
Thank you for using our ######### Aston Martin Service Dept. Please indicate how satisfied you were by replying with a 1 if dissatisfied up to 10 if satisfied.
Ok fine, replied with my response, all dandy.

Now I logged into my phone bill because I moved networks last week and am curious and see it cost me 22p to tell them my response. Now I don't mind 22p any more than you do but the principal that it can be to an 07781 ###### number which looks completely bog standard and therefore included in your free messages winds me up! Not impressed by the dealership now, that and also the attitude of the service manager who was less than polite means that when they've fitted my replacement mirror on warranty this week I'm not sure whether I'll be back or not.

I would be pissed off too! Not a lot of money really, but irritating not to be told.

Send them an invoice for 22p, or demand it knocked off your next service biggrin

That's very naughty of them IMO.
I always get my feedback request by email, more appropriate way of gathering information from you.

Never ceases to amaze me how businesses are willing to risk Customer perception for the sake of a few pennies.

This sort of thing irritates me.

If you want my bloody feedback ASK me. Not a sodding text message.

And breathe out, go do a yoga class!

I normally do bikram yoga. In 40 degree heat. So I imagine that bikram yoghurt yoga would involve fermentation or possibly the creation of new lifeforms. An evolutionary experiment too far for this cautious southern shandy drinker...

I tried yoga once John - at leSport Bodyholiday in St Lucia last year - and I just couldn't get into it. I've lost all my suppleness with age (43) but perhaps I should have persevered over the 14 days.

Amy Winehouse had recently been there, and it didn't work out too good for her either. Shame really frown

Well, regular yoga is pretty hard to get into. I've done it but I prefer bikram. I raise funds for Help For Heroes by trying (so far failing due to injuries) to run marathons so yoga is good for the posture and to maintain flexibility.

Now we are way off topic...
Yay!

The thing is I think most people will nod agreement with Shmee that the monetary value is negligible...it is the underhand way that it has been achieved that is irksome.

When you look at some of the charges out there - especially for 09 numbers - it does appear small.

But it is a step in an unfortunate direction.

What next, 0870 numbers for Dealers ?? smile
