Seriously though
I vaguely recall all RHD cars are now sold and they were on the last 300 which will all be LHD.

I hope not.

The more they make, the greater the chance that I may be able to afford one smile

A purchaser of a new V12V reported on AMOC last month that his chassis number was car number 862... So not many left to go at!

Hey Adam, that's not a great leap from the figures I was seeing a few months ago.

This may sound bizarre but......do you think they may be struggling to sell new ones ???

I know the used car market is holding up but, well, you never know.

If they struggle to sell the original 1000, this may well impact on residuals rolleyes

You might be right but then without knowing his possible location (if for instance he lives in the US then its safe to add a few weeks for shipping) and such like its quite possible the figures are just rolling along as normal. From memory the first cars rolled out in April-09 so thats 29mths since car no 862 which equates to only 30cars per month. On that basis we have only about 4mths production left i.e. feb 2012 should see the last cars built, maybe even sooner if the US shipping applies.

However with the world more likely than ever to go double dipping, and winter on its way for europe and the US they might just last a little longer...

I would have thought numbers would be getting close now that they are USA bound too. I seem to remember seeing a circa 825 number when last on the shop floor during the Virage launch jolly earlier in the year.

if a 2 year old one has lost around £50K down from £140K to £90K it all seems pretty normal to me...maybe at 3 years old they will be £70-80K or just over average for most new cars ?

I strongly doubt anyone paid list,i was offered a new one last year at £115k ,the values are holding up very well for this sort of car .....although there is one up at 90k that the dealer has had for a while and was originally 99k .
Anyway so in answer to the question ...no one is really sure.

Hey Franki,
Stupidly me thinks I sold my V12V a couple of months ago and since have watched its forecourt price
dwindle to a point that if it continues to go much further south the dealer won't have any meat left in the car.

Several other simular vehicles on a 10 plate are now sub 90k and I guess would be gratful of a new home at 85k ish,
to get them moved on.

Whilst doing my homework leading up to my ridiculous rush of blood I did encounter alot of nervousness regarding these vehicles with several leading dealerships and specialists not wanting to put cash in to them in the current
economic climate.

One so called big noise in high end stuff even told me no one wanted them and that Aston would struggle to shift the
full 1000 units.......only time will tell on that one but to end I suspect some big bargains around the end of January and early Feb.

If anyone needs a AM original Vantage indoor cover or overmats in black just PM me cus they ain't currently no good to me.

Let the fun of the new chase begin......

No Vantages being completed this week - all headlight units are stuck in Customs apparently. This is why I can't get my left one replaced (non-functioning indicator and dim sidelight LED).

I was told yesterday that my car, due back today, would not be available until next week.

They obviously knew this in advance but did not tell me. Strong words have been had. I await developments.

Complete and utter bks! Not you, Aston. Used to use that excuse in IT in the 80's / 90's, when we fked up on the supply chain ordering or more likely hadn't paid the bills. Was always a good excuse as no one argues with it.
Are the headlights manufacutured outside of the EU - its the only way they could get stuck in customs.

Watching the market all high end stuff apart from something like the ferrari458 are doing fortunes in,there is going to be some serious bargains in the next12 months I think.

Agreed Franki,

Strangely only mentioned that to the good lady the other day and pointed out that the California also seems to being standing up well.

Just waiting for the ar#e to fall out of the DB5 and 6 market now, but I've never been any good at holding my breath.
