New wheels on but I've got a TPMS problem
Discussion
Just had my Sport Pack wheels fitted but (why is there always a BUT....) the old valves were a PITA to get off due to heavy corrosion, unfortunately one of them wouldn't come off at all and the head has now been stripped.
I've had to have a standard valve fitted to keep me mobile but I now need a replacement TPMS type valve. With the the PH search playing up I've been unable see if it has been discussed here before.
Will I need to buy a full set of valves? I also notice the Blue sensor case has a small crack in it so can these be picked up individually? Any advice would be appreciated.

You can buy the sensors separately. Someone probably does the alloy valve on it's own too but from Aston they usually come in the pack with the sensor. You could buy one sensor pack, fit the sensor to replace the cracked one and the valve on the other wheel as neccessary. The only thing is they will need to be programmed by an Aston dealer/specialist after they are fitted. I usually suggest that tyres are fitted by Aston trained people as a lot of tyre fitters don't seem to be aware that the sensor is there (or it's size) and it gets broken either by the tyre arm or the tyre itself as it passes over it under tension.
I've had a poke around, the valve looks like it's made by Beru about £12 which isn't bad. I'll need to measure the old one as they come in different lengths.

It's funny that I haven't had any errors on the dash driving around with a missing sensor today.....
I'll probably reuse the sensor until it breaks down.

I noticed that on the unit but the actual valve appears to be identical to the one Beru sells, Smartire don't seem to do the aluminium valve, just the black plastic sensor. Well technically they don't do anything for cars any more it seems....
Anyways, I think I've got a replacement sorted FOC through a friend, happy days.
