Childish I know but How fast have you pushed your respective Aston Martins? We managed 167 with her still going and going, my memory was of huge noise plus the threat of vomiting from the lovely Molly. A Mclaren slid past I had by now locked into tunnel vision an amazing experience.

143mph on the digital readout. Was still accelerating at an alarming rate, yet I thought of my license and slowed down smile

Would love to have a go on a really long test track, with no police etc to worry about.

156mph on the mile straight at Millbrook with plenty more left except for the track.

The best part was it was a supplied V8V.;)

hehe I've done worse. Took an SL55AMG to an indicated 246km/h on the digital readout, on the same stretch of road as I did the Aston smile

In fairness though, they were both at times when I was pretty much the only one on the motorway.

168mph at Millbrook on the mile straight. Disappointed didn't hit 170.

Once did 160 in my Tuscan, but in fairness with the way the speedo was acting like a geiger counter might have been anything from 30 to 180 smile

165mph on digital speedo on German autobahn ...for a minute, then realised with the fuel stops it was going to take longer and I would miss my train....around 100-110mph was optimal for time versus fuel smile

I know that you will disbelieve this one but , 174 on the Brecon by pass courtesy of a Yamaha R1 , remember thinking Oh my God there is the roundabout. Plus 165 on the hereford road with Molly on the pillion. Ah those were the days!

Full respect to MollyGT on that one, hate being pillion - Aston Annie got scared once and that was it, no more pillions.
As Aston Annie frequents this forum can't divulge that sort of information. But do vividly remember giggling in my helmet as I changed up into 6th gear on the Busa at 155MPH and it was still ripping my arms off as it continued to accelerate
Speeding in France on the back roads doesn't count!

145mph in my old TVR chimera, but backed off as much faster and I think you need a pilots licence, the thing felt very light and it's not the kind of car to have big off in.

I am deeply ashamed to admit that the most that I have seen is 152mph - on the Mile straight at Milbrooke.

My own DB9 overreads by 10%, so I reckon that I only did 137mph.

145 mph in the old V8V in Germany with plenty more to go - but as an excuse - it was summer and roads were a tad too busy to go silly - but next year the V12 is coming over with me - goodie....

Way more scary was back in the day sitting pillion backwards on the likes of Honda CBX (1000 cc - straight 6) while the guy in charge pulled wheelies at around a ton....nice feeling as the road rushes towards your face.....Not.....but in those immortal days it was fun and passed those dull summer evenings....

An indicated 145mph in my old BMW 540i Touring in Europe.

I've only ever driven my Aston in the UK so I have never gone above an indicated 70 mph.

178 in my old RX7 FD35, nothing like spending £50K doing up a £10K car (I was so stupid when I as younger). This was of course on a private road, still felt like it had lots to give but fear factor and a light front end made me slow down... 160 for the DB7 VV with the roof down and 3 passengers.

We all speed sometimes - but those of you who drive at speeds in excess of 110 or 120mph on a public road should be locked up and loose your licence for a minimum 12 month.

But then remembered:

25 years ago, doing over 140 on a Kawasaki 1000 on M5 - Five minutes later got stopped but fortunately clocked at 97 - still got a 2 week ban.
