Ive got a Jan 06 car that Ive had since early 07

what about whos done the most miles ? ...I did 30K the first year in mine smile

or who can make the OE clutch last longest? - im trying for that one LOL smile

First 1,000 built have special engines. Different (better) con-rods and I think better pistons.

Where did you find that out John?

Mine is chassis number 9 hundred something smile and was registered May 06.

Looking at the door sill enscription in the photo I can't help wondering whatever happened to understated excellence...?

Very pleased that they didn't progress with such large writing.

Or did they? smile

The engine designer posted it on here somewhere. Post a question in the Bamford Rose thread and he'll confirm it.

Maybe Mr Hall can knock some up for you. I think they'd need blue backlighting for the full effect though. biggrin

I think you missed off an "innit" or a "bwoy" there!

Also you can see the old photo that there's a regular handbrake rather than the lift-up/drop-down style....

If I remember correctly, that's not a handbrake, it's an angled bracket that is just a design element of the center console.

Would it be fair to say that the majority view is that the orange interior car is pretty vile?

I wonder - did Sarah Maynard - of very expensive interior knobs design fame have anything to do with that???
