Recieved a nice letter today informing me of staff and structure changes at Works Service plus the news that they are about to start a modernisation programme of the buildings AND create a new Aston Martin Dealership to sell new/used and Heritage models. I would think one or two dealers will need to 'up their game' to keep afloat judging by some of the poor customer service issues that get posted on here.

Am at WS this week to have a new 'ski-jump' as they call it fitted. Had an annoying rattle which they eventually traced to broken securing lugs behind the centre console...Looking forward to a 'quiet' ride home...excluding listen to exhaust note and trying out various settings as per the Premium Audio thread.. driving

Did they mention how long the work would take - I want to have a good look around at service time!

".....we are happy to announce the start of the first sixth month stage of a long term project to enhance our facilities at Newport Pagnell......" "....Having been planned for many months, work has now begun....." I think it could be quite a long term project

Thanks Tony - I bet that looks great. Now it makes perfect sense. Have you got any photos?
I've not yet been to WS, I must make time to have a visit!

I did read your post but thought you were maybe having some exciting secret innovation. No confusion, just me being curious. Hope it gets sorted.

'Had' to have an obvious paintchip done on my roof a few months back. Car was in for about 10 days before delivered back because the bodyshop was soooo busy. Seems lots of peeps had been bashing their pride and joy. Hope your car is soon back

Now I am worried. I have arranged for mine to be collected next Weds to go for it's 1st service and door handle paint. I have been advised 5 day turnaround. What reason do they give for 3 week delay?

a la Johnny English or JB hmmm...maybe a cocktail cabinet or the like

Keep thinking about the reverse and front camera upgrade that WS do but not yet been brave enough to ask how much. A car dealer friend of mine once told me "reverse cameras are only for girls" to which i said "im a girl..im a girl" Both my Range Rovers have reverse cameras..find them very handy as I can now SEE when i have backed into the car behind..damn parking spaces are never long enough!!

Di,

Don't worry they'll sort you a nice little loaner Jag out which will see you through the winter....

No need to worry about lead times on Evoques now and Tony gets to keep the loot, alls wonderful and the V12 will be back in time for the spring.....

Dont worry. WS are like that. Your oil and filter change will soon grow when you get the "when we stripped down the engine we found some main bearing shells had a bit of wear so we've replaced these. And the crank for you..." phone call

Over 1 week to do 1st service (supposed to be 2 days).

3 weeks to do 2nd service and change speakers, supposed to be 5 days. Never again. No update calls, car repeatedly not ready when promised, when turned up to finally collect, still not ready and was repeatedly "shown round" the facility whilst we just "wash" your car (ie still screwing bits back together after 3 weeks).

Now they are not owned by AML, maybe the service will improve.
