Hi All

I've just had the Sportshift software on my AMV8V (08) updated by recommendation from the dealership. (Car has done 23K).

The car used to judder when cold / pulling away from the lights rather badly. It still does it when the car is cold, but has definately helped to sort the problem once on the road.

However, No issues at all using paddles, but driving in auto it seems the update has increased the revs whilst it changes gear? The only thing i can think to try and describe is similar to riding the clutch when changing gear. It's very smooth gear change, but just doesnt sound right?

Anyone able to put my mind at rest?

Thanks

Sounds a bit like how the V8S changes gear. Maybe an update to smooth out the gear changes. Although the reflash was designed to enable some extra datalogging when carrying out a clutch learn more than anything else.

Thanks.

If I were driving any sort of manual car with a physical clutch, it sounds like I am not letting the clutch out quick enough during a gear change.

If is not going to cause any issues with my clutch, I'll keep driving it. It's definately a slower, but smoother setup, with the update.

My V8S doesn't change gear like that!
OP might be worth doing regular clutch learns
I found on my last 4.7 with the updated ASM1 that it took 2-3 learns initially to get it settled.
Also be careful not to apply too little revs pulling away or you will start an arguement with creep mode which you will only lose!
Having said that I never found auto mode to be great and rarely used it!
The ASM2 system in the V8S is night and day to ASM1.
