Thinking of coming back into the world of Aston Martin in the next few months and looking for a little advice.(Had a DB7 Vantage Volante and miss it big time)
Judging by prices am I being unrealistic in looking to spend £50k from an Aston Dealer for a 2006 model with less than 20k miles?
I have seen one or two private cars around the £46k mark.
Would I be better off waiting a few months and saving £3k/£4k and buying in December/January?
Are these early cars problematic?
Alternatively I could keep the cash in the bank and not lose £20k over the next 2 years.
Appreciate you Aston boys putting out your points of views and advice.
Thanks

My 1-owner 2006 Volante manual was £50k last from a main dealer last January, with 17k miles on it so not unrealistic at all.

The longer you wait, the cheaper they get - but also the older they get. And the longer time you have without one! At some point you have to just go out there, get it and enjoy it. However, even i would probably wait until Dec/Jan at this point unless you see a car you *have* to have, which happened to me (green manual).

The 2006 is not an *early* car really as the DB9 had been out since 2004. No real issues at all with mine (rubber window seal snagged was about it!). It is a very different drive to the DB7 Volante, took me a while to enjoy it as much. Very, very modern by comparison.

I'm sure you are more likely to get a better deal in December..... but you may also end up with less choice at that time of year, so the call on waiting probably comes down to how flexible you are on colour (exterior & interior) combinations.... don't forget to test drive an earlier 09MY as well... just in case it motivates you to spend the extra dosh! Best of luck.
