Hope you aren't eating your dinners smile. At least I kept it decent.

Attention we looking for sympathy... hmm prob wrong place with Jockman and Michael on the prowl.

Anyhow with nowt much else to do I have been ringing around re costs on my 1st service. I had every intention in using WS as I have a warranty paint issue on driver door handle.

What I am amazed at around the country is how much I am being quoted. Anything from £700 less around 10% to over £900.

I do realise there are pick up charges on top as I can't drive, but these quotes are purely for the service.

Is it usual to have well in excess of a £200 differential?

Bloody hell. I hope you have some top notch drugs to take - that looks sore...

A very nice man in Newport Pagnell is going to give me a quote for my V12 next service. Last time I did this with my V8 I found about £200 differences. I think it was due to different policies around courtesy cars and pick up/drop off. If you are accounting for that then I am surprised...

Oooh Di, that looks sore. As soon as I saw where the bruising is, I thought that will be a bit uncomfortable with a bra on and, you need some Arnica cream on those bruises!
Hope you're not too bored and missing driving the V12 too much!

Bloody hell Di, you've just put me off my haggis.

As John says the £200 differential is not unusual (Tom Jones), I've even heard of bigger ones.

Keep you pecker up you fantastic, warm-hearted, talented, beautiful, kind, wonderful............drama queen smile

PS. Back to my haggis.

Thanks for well wishes guys. Annie, the Arnica is in overload.

Re service.... As I am not asking for a courtesy car, I would have thought a deal could have been struck. I am still awaiting some final quotes.

Oh and Phil, your cheek has just earn't Tony another beer next week wink

Thanks Lewis.

Luckily Tony will be entrenched in Rugby and F1 this weekend (think there is a GP ) so my car will be safe.

Got my first service on my V12v 6 weeks ago and it cost £800, that was including a 10% discount from Grange Brentwood.

Interesting. Did you get a pick up with a driver, a courtesy car or did they collect/deliver on a low loader?

I bought mine from here - big Garry G did the honours.

Hope you make a quick recovery and get spoilt whilst you are recovering. Interesting comments on costs and I am surprised at the difference. I don't think there'd be many that I'd let touch my baby!

Oh well Di, at least the weather has changed for the worse so you're no longer missing out on the great driving weather of the past week (if that's any comfort?). Hope to see you on the 'spotted' thread soon driving

In the meantime at least you've got pistonheads to distract you smile

Bless your cotton socks Di that does look sore, hopefully it will improve with everyday, abit like me really......

Keep eating the haggis Jockman and remember to swill it down with a nice vintage Buckfast or a tepid drop of
Iron Bru....

Well thats my first post for a while so get well soon Di and get that arm and shoulder mobile as I don't want to have
to recommend one of our local surgeons to put their spin on it as they despatched my wife back from Hospital after
shaking a chickens foot at her and prescribing a coarse of leach's........arrh the beauty of simple country life.

Bonjourno Edouardo - como estas, mein freund ?

I try to avoid Iron Bru as it tastes a bit metallic. Irn Bru however tastes like heaven.

Best Wishes to thee and thy espousa smile

Anyone care for a competition on 'why I can't drive' smile
My Vanquish frown

Resulted in broken ribs, after being taken to hospital like this.

My new pride and joy

Then fell from a ladder!

Ah well, next year

No - you "win" that competition. Di looks positively radiant compared to you in the cradle and that hand photo....

Crash and ladder - both looked nasty. Good to hear you have a sense of humour about it all.

Di - hope you are 100% fit, well and flat in your V12 again very soon.
P.s. Don't forget to shop around for best service rates - the dealers vary wildly.

OUCH Mcm66 - how did that happen frown ? Glad you are ok

Hmph had my thread hijacked by yet another Scotsman smile

I didn't have to go so far as to wreck my car and fall off a ladder. You are trying too hard.

Seriously John, glad you got out of the car with not too much damage to yourself. And good luck with the hand, it does make my injury somewhat minor.

I drove today, after seeing my physio. Only about five miles before I had to admit defeat, and in a Panda. I wasn't going to risk the V12V, no way.

Its off to WS soon and will be gone a week so temptation will be out of sight. Very much for the best methinks.

Thanks again to all for kind sentiments.

Di
