On this glorious day, I think my convertible has just broken!! frown

As I was closing the roof, whilst the lid was in the fully upright position and the tonneau was coming over my head, all of a sudden some kind of oil or clear liquid started spurting out the piston (like a can after it had been shaken). The lid quickly closed, clearly lost it pressure to stay up. Thankfully the roof was out so was able to close it but now it wil not open any more.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it a simple processors by the garage to repair it or is it something more serious.
Am gutted as was looking forward to a good drive with the top down. Rough costs?

I can't offer any expertise, but commiserations - if you can see the fault that's a good start hopefully. I am sure someone who knows will be along shortly smile

there are three types of pistons fitted to the car all around the same price £450ish time to change usually around an hour, but car may need a valet and some extra tlc to clean up the oil,
