iPhone photos only so far (and side-on - no time to edit):

I'll try to get round to taking some proper shots this sunny weekend.

A few first impressions:

It feels quicker than the DB9 by a surprising margin, particularly in-gear acceleration;

The sound in Sports Mode is intoxicating, but the throttle map takes some getting used to;

TMC works! eek

The SatNav has speed camera alerts! eek

The gearchange is slicker than in my DB9 and the clutch more forgiving (no stalls yet).

Here's the old car for good measure (looks massive by comparison):

Beautiful! Congrats. I'm jealous. Someday I will graduate to a V12V.

clap Congratulations, lovely car, as was your DB9 by the look of it.

Sure you wont be disappointed, the V12V is such a great car to drive.

Thanks all.

George, by "missing button", are you referring to the one replaced by the pen in the V8V S? If so, didn't we conclude that was the Sport button?

Meteorite.

Stratstones had a few built, but unregistered V12Vs with an AM discount plus a Stratstone one, so they were attractive. I had a choice of Quantum, Lightning, Carbon Black or Meteorite. There was also a Morning Frost car that I tested that was registered and had about 800 miles on it. The Quantum car went while I was um-ing and ah-ing. I wasn't prepared to pay the extra for the Carbon Black. I decided that I liked the colours that help the bonnet strakes to blend in.

The Mornign Frost car is stunning, but I wanted something a little more subtle (if these cars can ever be subtle).

If you live roughly where I think you do, can you pop down the Archway Road later from the Boogaloo to Archway? The camera is facing the other way so spank it!

I have never heard a V12 run down the "canyon" but it would be good to hear one!

That is stunning, the colour really suits the car.

Interesting it is so much better than a Sports Pack DB9, especially the gear change... Mine is pretty slick, would be interested to know the difference! Something with the cables or linkage or maybe just newer and tighter?

Can't today. Perhaps tomorrow evening. The camera is downhill, isn't it (I usually go down through the village to Holloway Road)?

Yesterday the camera was pointing uphill - it pays to know this - although with the CCM brakes you can stop from whatever speed if you were to see the camera had been repointed.

If you see a bloke in a silvery 911 turbo convertible wave at you, that's me. Normal service will be resumed next week when my V12V gets delivered from Newport Pagnell.

Great weather for driving a new car :-)

Useful information there, thanks

So two V2Vs in the area at least then! There are loads of the rest of the range.
