Db9 rear brake light
Discussion
Rear brake light not working on my db9. Didn't blink until the dealer told me it's a sealed unit. Just had £496.99 charged to my card for a replacement!!
Couple of thoughts:
1. Is it bad design? (remember the old days when a bulb went and you bought one for a few pence...)
2. They've given me the old unit - can I get it reconditioned and working again to stick on eBay ?
Ouch! And is just me??!?

Outrageous...... I can't believe these units can't be fixed..... A 12v light emitting diode cost 10p FFS....
You are of course correct Mr Q.AKAIK they are sealed units. Some would say they are over-spec'd.
The fact that you cannot perform a simple bulb change on them may actually imply that they are under spec'd ironically
I think the company you're both thinking of is mentioned in this thread?!
