WANT ONE WANT ONE WANT ONE.

This baby is currently top of my lottery win shopping list (in black with a black/tan interior).

Good review Robert (AM finally gave you a go in one eh?)

Just been to see atack of the clones. But before it started i was just opening my minstrals packet when a familiar roar came on, then there was this crappy voice over...THEN IT HAPPEND! The vanquish apeared on screen. I have just seen the new bond film teaser trailer, and it appears the vanquish gets a major roll.

Take a look:

Will Aston ever offer a manual gearbox on the option list?
Apparently the gearchange has not been up to everyone's expectations...

Saw 2 of these little beauties just outside Millbrook Test Track in Bedfordshire on tuesday afternoon.

Must say they looked and sounded Fabalous and i drove behind them with me head out the window listening.

Earlier in the day i had heard numerous motors canning it around Millbrook but not sure if it was the two that i saw.

No they were the original chasis. The engine is also the original off the shelf version. (but odviosly bond gets the best) but what they did have to do was modify the car into 4 wheel drive. This is because 2 wheel drive cars don't respond well on ice!

Not sure about the Aston being on an Explorer platform, but the new XK8 used by Bond's enemy Zoa (Rick Yune) was based on a shortened Explorer platform... so I'd assume they did the same with the Aston.

The Jag's paintwork was blended with real gold (at a cost of nearly £2000 / litre) and a total of 6 identical Jag's were built...

I wonder how much Ford paid to get the Jag in the new Bond film (along with the Vanquish).

Money that should be being used to develope the F-Type (GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR)

And to think BL charged filmakers to use Mini's in the Italian Job!!
They weren't so bad when it came to business then!

I would like to see a Vanquish against a 911 GT2 and see what wins it would be and interesting test.
In the new bond film i am glad that the Brittish spy is back in a Brittish car.

I think the DB7 is a much better looking car. After test driving a DB7 with the manual gearbox, I have to say it is a great driving car regardless of what parts were used. I still hold firm to the belief that the DB7 is the worlds best looking production right now and damn BMW for beating Aston in The World is Not Enough.

Theres a lot to be really really impressed about in Vanquish. But there are also a whole pile of things were vary from annoying through to disgraceful. Some you can spot quickly (eg the fascia), others require some hundreds of miles to find (seat front position). All in all, its a nice enough car, but its not anywhere near as special as previous proper astons. It will be stunning in a future version, though

Had some fun in my 996 TT with a vanquish and left him behind quite easily so the GT2 would certain do the same.

What does he mean Jag interior .I personally think Jaguar makes some of the best center consoles and Interiors [classy - sporty -Elegant feel].
Jag should of been spending the money on the F-Type
and the X-Type R although my X would be lesser

What is it like to touch that steering wheel after the suns been on it for a few hours

The Vanquish wins out of the 575 and the 32000 GT for almost everything

IF I WON THE LOTTERY
