The title says it all really. Does anyone have any experience of using Works Service to repair crash damage and respray? Cost is not important - the other guy will be paying - but I want to know if they are the best. If you think there is someone better please advise. As I said, I'm not paying so I'm happy to have purest unobtanium and unicorn horn oil used...

Having a car involved in an RTC can have a detrimental impact at the resale point.

Having knowledge that this was taken care of at Works Service I would venture re-addresses this imbalance.

I would suggest not messing with this equation John.

I assume no excess is payable on this no-fault incident smile

Just had work done on the roof on my V12V Carbon Black. I picked up a really bad paintchip from a stone (read boulder from back wheel of truck) coming home from Gaydon. It left a definate dent in the roof as well as showing through the primer. For those of you that don't know a dent in a roof is possibly the worst thing to deal with... being at eyeline etc. The car looks PERFECT. No matter how hard I try I cannot see where it was...made sure I knew exactly so could have a good look when car was delivered back. Cannot praise the bodyshop at WS enough. thumbup

The WPC who attended told me he has 24 hours to report the incident to the police or else he's going to be charged with something or other. I may have to attend a court hearing.

I've never made an insurance claim in my life so I actually have no idea what happens. I was stationary at a red light and I the driver of the other car drove into the back of me. So I'm definitely not to blame.

I'm not planning on selling the monster, I am going to wait until the warranty expires then get Mike at Bamford Rose to monster it up to 11. Take it to 7.3 and fit all the parts to get 700bhp. So residual is not important to me. It's a keeper...

Unequivocally recommended.

Personally I would not use anyone else. The communication, service and quality of work is superb.

John, take at look on the AM website section for works service and bodyshop. This should give you some piece of mind. Having had the tour around the facility in April when it the V12V Owner's Day, I would have thought you will have nothing except superb service and exceptional quality of repair.

Ask yourself the question. If you were to buy a used car and it had had repairs done at Works Service would you still consider it. The answer is probably "yes". When i had my DB9 I had the bonnet repainted at Works Service under warranty and it was better than from new.
