Bit hard to tell as the photo is not great. The numberplate holder has been removed.

I don't think they ever did a solid grill. Early V8V's were 8 bar grills and the latter ones 6 bar. Could it not just be something to protect the grill whilst it is sat there or being transported?

After market change? There were mesh grills on some DB7 V12 models weren't there?

Maybe some liked the look?

Doesn't look so bad on the other pictures. I would think somebody just preferred the mesh, don't think a replacement grill is too expensive anyway.

Car has 50k warranted mileage. SH @ 992,12,21,28,39,44,49 being sold by a lease co.

Could be a decent buy, especially with the lower road tax rate.

Up for Auction at BCA Nottingham, this Thursday 18th Aug.

By Alphabet GB, a multi-marque fleet funding company.

Also a nice looking DBS going through.

This is the 2nd time I have seen it auction. It was on before several weeks ago but probably did not make its reserve. Also its not a lease car. It also has tinted rear lights (boy racer?). Will post a picture up. Also it may be a few hundred cheaper on the tax every year but with a car like this it should not really factor in when compared to upkeep etc. Probably worth spending a bit more to get a later version, not the first hundred odd 'test mules' that were produced.
Disagree. The first 1000 4.3 V8 engines are much better than the rest. They have more expensive parts.

I think the key thing is not to buy a garage princess.

What's the estimate/reserve? (Really can't be bothered registering - don't think you can browse their catalogue without doing so).

Post to the Bamford Rose thread and Mike will give you the full details. From memory the conrods and crank are better quality.
