Having had my DB9 for 8 months I decided to put more than 1 CD into the changer and now it is throwing the Unreadable message and getting into a sulk about ejecting the CD's. The CD's are originals and are clean.

The CD in Slot 1 seems to work OK and plays fine but the rest don't. Any ideas.........?

What CD is it? Is it your bad taste that it simply is rejecting? :-)

Probably, yes smile

I doubt the CD changer is that sophisticated to be able to discern taste in music.

Surprise, surprise the cd changer is not covered under extended warranty. So the second issue with the DB9 and neither were covered, so glad I paid a premium at a dealership for it.

It is in the print when you buy the warranty. Audio is not covered. There aren't really any policies out there that do cover it.

Its worth giving Aston Martin a call, I had my CD changer pack up on me when I first had the car 2 years ago. Aston paid for 50% of the cost as a good will gesture. Annoying really as the Aston dealership (in the same town as DMS) didnt want to know and just plainly said "Its not covered".

MINI exended warranty covers the electrical / audio items. Don't see why the Aston one doesn't piss poor IMO.

Doesn't look to hard yikes The cd unit is smaller than I imagined and probably a volvo unit. Just wondering if in its life some bit of dirt got in there.

Kind of the same for me. I just renewed my SL55 with Mercedes on Tier 1 and everything is covered - I even got a ball joint done under warranty when I had the supercharger pump done, I didn't even know it needed changing.

Anyhow in future whenever I see a car with a multichanger I am taking along 6 clean discs and will play all of them.

Indeed it is, I believe it is the same one which is in the older V70's and S60's
It's hard to believe that even the electric seats in the Aston are exactly the same mechanism and controls as my 850 which was made in 1995...

Are they standard CD's or your own recorded from computer to CD (MP3)?

I'm curious, when you say "give Aston Martin a call," are you talking about calling your local dealership, or do you mean calling the company directly?
