I have a question about the Fuse 22 switch (Fuse 15 on MY2011 Vantage, Fuse 3 on Rapide).

My dealer just told me that, at least at pre MY2011 models, as soon as you take out the Fuse 22 or equiv. the system throws an error message (which you don't see, only the computer knows). This is no problem at first but when you put the Fuse back on, the flaps will not close until the error is erased from the OBD.

My question is: how do Fuse 22 switches or relays (wireless and wired) work then? Of course, first opening will work. But after that?

Mine's pre-2011 and has never thrown an error despite having fuse 22 in for something like 15mins in its life.

Removing 22, 15, 3 does store an error in the OBD. It does not trigger a MIL light. The vacum valves not closing whe the fuse is reinstalled is rubbish, unless the valves have seized. We have a V8V in the family, vacum lines removed, never cleanded underneath it, 3 yers old, valves remian closable by finger.

In my 24 months of Aston ownership, I've come to the conclusion that dealers (some, not all, but an appreciable proportion nevertheless) talk a lot of guff.

I have a wireless switch for my V12V and toggle between OEM operation and fully open operation often. I've never had a problem or a warning signal.
