I'm planning on it but can't get there until after 11am. Pommehogster will be there as well having the nuts revved off his car in a competition...

How was this achieved?? Just an 'application at the right time' kind of thing?

They only have one of each type of car generally and it's a big contacts network so Jay, the organiser, invited me as one of the 160 show cars as we've met at various events and are starting to work together on a few car things.

In general Astons aren't really there, I think it's just my V8V and a DBS going this time.

So basically, if your not part of the display, then the car will be parked with all the "other" cars in the visitors car park mad

Not much of a supercar day now is it !

Yes that's how I understand it, but if you are complaining about enjoying looking at and hearing cars like: Zonda, CCXR, Veyron, Enzo, F50, F40 etc then something's wrong!! smile

I wonder of you'd feel differently if you were parked in a random car park away from the event Shmee?

I very much can no longer be arsed smile Not bothering to drive all the way there to park with a load of people carriers and chav wagons in a car park, I can do that at ASDA. Rather a badly organised day if the decent cars can't park at least somewhere away from the ordinary stuff - I actually think the owners of ordinary cars would be fine with that, they go to look at nice cars!

Was hoping to meet Bamford Mike there. Hey-ho.

I have booked for the Pistonheads Car park along with about 400 varied cars!
Hopefully that will be safer than ChASDA car parks.

Looking forward to it.

Given the number of events I do go to (pretty much everything big in the South of England all around the year) I'm not sure why you say that? This is the first time other than Goodwood Supercar Sunday that my car has been on 'show' rather than in the random public car park; and hey if it wasn't on show I'd probably go in my Mini and not be complaining - after all I've done 2k miles in the last 5 days in the AM.

I have to say, I'm not a fan of those type of cars at all (bar the F40, they're quite nice). I would much rather go and see the Ralph Lauren collection in Paris than those that you listed, I find them a bit vulgar. smile

If you're up for the drive there, you'll have a convoyist smile

Shmee, not having a go at you at all, obviously not my kind of event. I'm used to the car being allowed to take part whether a Goodwood or Brooklands Breakfast club, Hever Castle type meet or the upcoming Chelsea Auto Legends, car is always allowed into the event. If it was close I'd go down in the Alfa, can't be bothered to get a B&B in Salisbury only to rock up and park with the proles smile

Certainly am, but I will have to go in my Polo GTI unfortunately. Would put me close to limited mileage policy, and don't want to have to pay extra for insurance - pay enough already smile
