It ought not to be hard to make the LEDs permanently powered though.
Anyone got a wiring diagram
Actually, that's not necessary. In order to enable the Euro Daytime Running Light functionality, all the dealer has to do is purchase and download a new configuration file to the car. Of course, Aston charges for this file. It takes about 15 minutes for the entire process and can be done for the V8V and DB9.It ought not to be hard to make the LEDs permanently powered though.

May be true of US cars , not sure on UK cars.I'll ask the question on my MY12 Vantage S that is due in a month or so.

The US does not have a DRL requirement, so it does not apply to that market. The service that I mention is for European cars. It is documented in service bulletin 0212.I'll ask the question on my MY12 Vantage S that is due in a month or so.

This post is right. Aston can supply a car config file that will enable just the front (I think just the front!) sidelights to come on. It doesn't become mandatory for Aston until there is a new headlamp design. The Rapide lamp was certified (for UK) before the new regs came in to force so doesn't have to comply.

0212 is indeed only V8V and DB9. Nothing for the Rapide. Sure, I can switch the LEDs manually on, don't like my rear lighting during day though
The first thing I do after listening to the 'bark' quieten down is to switch on my side lights.I really love the top line of red side lights on the clear rears.
I would have preferred the front side lights like Quinny's batman pics but I'm content with the more central single lights of the DB9.
I never drive without my side lights on, and I don't really find it a hassle to switch on
