Hi I need someone to check over a 2005 DB9 for me in East London, can anyone make any reccoemdations or tell me anything about car with Private plate J77DSR? 52K on the clock. Full service stamps up until 50K. I was the highest bidder from that auction site but the seller is now trying to cancel the sale - he has another buyer for an addiotnal £3K and says If I don't down a deposit and arrange my check for beginning of the week he is going to pull out an dseel elsewhere. Sure, it's a good price but I stil wouldn't want to throw the money away.
Obviously I'm on the clock with this!

Thanks
Pete

You have Ricky Man in southend Essex.
Lancaster Aston in Sevenoaks Kent.

Both about 20 miles from the east end.

420 + vat, could have been 480, seems a little pricey for a check over, anyone have experience and can tell me if this is the going rate? Car is probably 40 minutes away for him.
Thanks
Pete

guess I was looking for someone to confirm this is the going price for a check. If I then decide to not go for the car it's money off the budget for whatever I do go for.

Sounds like the vendor of the car is taking the p1ss, but I guess he can do what he wants - it's his car. Why advertise on eBay if you've no intention of going through with the sale? Weirdo.

That does seem expensive, the going rate for a Maserati check is about £300 plus travel costs.

too much about this car is starting to stink plus I feel that any kind of issues will turn round and bite me on the butt if I need to re-contact the seller, I think I'm going to pass it up and have a look when I have all the cash in the bank, should put me in a reasonable position but possibly with no car for a period. Secretly hoping I can find an 07 car at a good (great) price!
Once again thanks for all the feedback and fingers crossed I will soon have a nice new shiny car to proudly announce on the forums...

Sensible I think.

He sold you the car then reneged on the deal as he reckons he can get more. I bet when you pull out his other seller miraculously disappears! He sounds like a bit of a wide-boy and there are plenty of good cars about from decent people.
