Having bought a new V8V in Jan this year then a month or so later discovering that there was to be a V8S I was a bit disgruntled!!!! So guess what I now have a V8S which I must say is truly something else. I would be more than peed off if there was to be a complete model change. The trouble is this is the motor trade and things do move on. Having said that 2015 is tolerable. There is a reasonable case for saying that the Vantage is a timeless classic shape; maybe they will go down the route of making it lighter before a complete body and engine change.
In the meantime go and try an S!

Does that apply to the DB9/DBS/Virage replacement as well? Just curious smile

DBS due 2013, DB9 due 2014, if I recall correctly smile

There was a thread not so long back about the new DBS spy shots. Meant to be a smaller car than what it is currently, sort of in between V12V and current DBS. I think the engine is supposed to be tweaked to around 540ish bhp, not much of an increase but if tied in with a lower weight, should be sufficient.

IIRC the licence for the VH platform bonding technology they have with Lotus is running out soon. No whispers on whether they will renew or replace it.

If we are talking about cars based on a new chassis (rather than a VH rework like the Virage) they must already have done a deal on the replacement chassis. Anyone heard anything on that?

I had heard something about this and wondered if you knew more than a google reveals?

Nope nothing more than I was told the Lotus VH licence is due in the next couple of years.
Ironically I also found out earlier in the week Jaguar/Land Rover are moving ALL their cars to the same technology.
Aston are slipping behind both on the chassis and the engines frown
