I have been planning to post a few snaps of my trip in June, which took in France, Monaco, Italy and Switzerland. The first part of the trip was an organised one, with approx 35 other cars leaving Folkstone. The second half we did our own thing.

I liked the car a lot before the trip (it is my dream car after all). But having done 2500 miles in 10 days, taking in the Route Napoleon, Col de Turini, Col de la Lombarde and the Grand St Bernard Pass I loved it!!!

It was refined on the long motorway drive across France, which we did in one day. It was great fun on the twisty stuff and the sound it made through the tunnels and mountains. I was grinning like a kid and what a great feeling as we drove through Casino Square in Monte Carlo in my very own Aston Martin. I count myself very lucky.

Issues, well one of the tyre sensors said we had a flat just as we entered a Swiss mountain tunnel, which was a little scary. That turned out to be a force alarm. We also had a small oil leak, which was only diagnosed when we got home (I had thought the infrequent burning smell was the clutch, which seemed unlikely at the time), turned out to be small oil drips burning off on the manifold after motorway runs.

None of this took anything away from a trip which was better than I could have hoped.

I have included a few snaps of the car at various stages during the trip, with the final one of it very dirty at the Hever Castle meet on route home.
