FUSE 22

have pulled out fuse 22 and the exhaust seems to have got QUIETER. car is a DB9 '06 Volante. What am i doing wrong? Harry.

Harry - you sure you pulled the correct one. It should be in the boot fuse box, a 20A yellow blade fuse?? smile

Yes,no doubt about that---do you think that the flaps are permanentley shut instead of open/ Harry

I'd check for a mouse in the exhaust then! smile

Flaps will not open until rpm hits 3k. When it does they wont then reshut. From there on they are permently open. (until you put the fuse back)

Actually, that's not true. As I've explained before, with the fuse in, the flaps are still open at idle. The ECU will closed them around 1,500 rpm and keep them closed until approximately 4,000 rpm at which point they open up again.

It may take about 4-5 starts before they stay open.
