With, of all people, my daughter suggesting that the Vantage was being neglected since the new arrival I decided to splash out to get it a full paint correction detail. To be fair the paint wasn't in particularly bad shape but the completed job, a total of 20 man hours, was even better than I expected with a depth of shine I hadn't previously witnessed even when I first took delivery, from new, over 4 years ago.

Well worth the outlay and I'd highly recommend the guys at Cambridge Autogleam who have a first class CV with regards to carrying out this work on Astons.

You can check out their other work here http://cambridgeautogleam.com/default.aspx

Next to get the treatment will be the DBS cool

Looks stunning, just like new. Think I'd be scared to drive it in case it got dirty again hehe

I almost forgot too - what does the big clear plastic block do? Never seen one of those for cleaning a car before confused

Looks brilliant. Those guys did an awesome job and your car looks spectacular. Unfortunately, I think you inadvertently fireballed their website. I was in the middle of looking at some of their other jobs (such as the stunning Ferrari GTO) and their web server stopped responding! I guess it's time for them to buy more bandwidth! smile

Update: Site back up now.

Looking at their website it would appear that this is a "super premium ‘Vintage’ wax upgrade is a 623g pot of wax costing around £1800". eek

Jesus... That's expensive stuff! Some for sale for £8300 per 1400g yikes Certainly gave the car a nice finish though smile

Indeed....and two coats of it applied. Once bought you can have 'free' refills for life apparently.

What are the inserts either side of the rear number plate??
Having only a 5 digit plate I opted to have a shorter plate fitted front and rear which meant that I could quite legally fill the gaps either side with the north American inserts....more Aston, less plate smile At the time, the only way to fit these retrospectively was to remove the rear bumper (an expensive time consuming procedure) although I now believe that Aston have developed a tool that can reach the fixings whilst in situ.

Thanks Steve......looks like that'd work on mine too.....
I reckon it'd work Quinny as the 2x 'one' digits on the 6 digit plate can't be too much wider than on mine.

Nice work!
I tend to do this once a year on mine.
Spring time ready for gettin it dirty again with the roof down.
Did they measure the paint & lacquer depth at all?
Did the polish the glass out as well?
Good to see them masking up the edges (thinnest paint & lacquer points) and removing the bonnet vents

I love that car and the garage!!

Seriously though, the colour combination both interior and exterior are beautiful. I just wish more Astons were without black leather.
