Sounds like the problem, will have a go with the "special tool" tomorrow. Cant help feeling it is more metallic a noise than belts. Quite likely though as my v8v is an '06 and the previous owner never took in for a service other than the first annual service(only did 10,000km up to last october when I bought it), although I took it to Works Service at xmas and they never mentoined anything..http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0...

I guess unless you cite a particular problem, or specifically ask them to ensure that all "campaigns" have been applied to the car, they won't bother.Herein lies one of the potential pitfalls of buying a car with few miles on it (let alone one with a poor service history).
Fortunately this one's a cheap fix (assuming it is that)
Good luck getting it sorted.

Sweet result!! Instant silence (well, apart from the burble from the Quicksilver Supersport)and I now have the sweetest smelling engine bay!! I also have the rest of the bottle of baby powder in case crotch rot ever strikes!Herein lies one of the potential pitfalls of buying a car with few miles on it (let alone one with a poor service history).

Prevention is better than cure - shower more often, ensure you dry properly and don;t go near lady boys in Bangkok Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
