Why not just get OEM ones? Aftermarket wheels look ridiculous on normal cars, let alone on an Aston.

Don't know about Aston copy alloys but I fitted some copy M alloys to my BMW 6 series and they looked fantastic.........often copies are made in the same factory

Why buy an Aston at all if you're going to fit it out with copycat kit? By that logic you could talk yourself into buying that Ford Capri-based Aston that features in the Chav-My-Aston thread!

Get a second hand set of OEM wheels on eBay or from a dealer!

The copies will be heavy and likely to be made of poorer materials as well as not having undergone the same level of testing.

Tis true, second hand + refurb will be cheaper than new, and look just as good.

You do understand that the Aston model range has lots of bits nicked from other cars.

All manufacturers buy in their parts from the cheapest supplier not the best quality supplier.

So you think we should all do the same?

My Sports pack wheels were forged items made by Alcoa if I remember correctly, they are not cheap Chinese-produced wheels, which would have been the cheapest option.

I never said you should do anything. You only have to look at the exhaust to see cost is the overriding consideration.

I have spent many an hour in purchase meetings with many different automotive manufacturers and the first discussion is always cost.

With regards to Alcoa sourced alloys - this multinational company has factories in China so what is to say they were not produced in China and shipped to the UK.
Have no problem with that! I specified 'cheap Chinese' not simply Chinese smile

I saved money once on some 19" rims for my old Maser, still spent almost £1000. Out of the box, one of them was so far out of being round it couldn't be balanced properly. The others were all wrecked after 3000 miles through Europe, never again, lesson learned.

But hey, I'm sure your copies will be fine and look great.
