perhaps we should start a vote on here wether big Al has got power hungry......been on pistonheads for a while now and he turns up and topic's are locked etc....never seen it before....you need to slow down mate and pop into the garden and mow the lawn or something......don't need anymore internet Taliban thanks....
I think he had a busy day yesterday, but at least I now know who our moderator is!
Mods get a lot of crap for doing a thankless task, I almost always give the benefit of the doubt! Must admit the forum looks untidy with the locked topics but they'll be gone in a day and both were locked for a reason.

A bit harsh on Al.
We spent the weekend with him and his wife Miggi. Two of our closest friends and the nicest people you could meet. He closed an F1 topic thread and also yeti's which in "Feedback" he apologised for.
I think you may have to wait a while for reinstatement Lewis, as Al was due to go out fishing in his boat at 6am this morning.

Al is a great chap, if you would like to dedicate as many volunteer hours to help maintain the site as he does, then please let me know and I'll sign you up.
All he's doing is enforcing our rules, rules set here at PHHQ. Some are from Ted's days and others are from more recent times, but don't shoot the messenger.

Always thought Big Al to be pretty fair as a Moderator, and I´m not prepared to change my opinion just because he closed my thread.
I was quite enjoying the F1 education from George, and the thread did expose inadequacies in my F1 knowledge (yes, it has been several years). Would have been great to find out a bit more about KERFS ??? and SRS ??? but I can always pm Gorgeous H.
Al did refer me to another site as an alternative, and after 15 seconds of that thread I completely understood his rationale
