V8V fuel cap inner is broken...

Filled up the other day and when I pulled the cap out of the little holder hole in the cover the central portion of the alloy cap inner (the white plastic bit holding a spring) broke cleanly off. Bugger. It seems to be some sort of release valve but made incredibly cheaply. Can I get a new inner or do I have to prepare for major wallet surgery to buy a whole new cap. Or a warranty item (the list of building quite nicely at the moment)

Add it to the warranty list. Most dealers seem accommodating when pushing through bits on warranty. If you don't ask, you don't get!
