Lost my bottle……or have I?

Went down to Bamford Rose a few days ago to change my quicksilver supersports to a supersports plus for hopefully that little extra that I was looking for. When I arrived I was lucky enough to find they had Pommehogster's "Jessica" there for finishing touches before Hever. So I had the opportunity to compare the plus system on that to the supersports on mine. It was certainly louder but also was a bit more higher pitched than the supersports which I didn't like. So I bottled and decided to stick with mine.
I still would like mine a bit louder but with the same tone. Yeti's comment on my last post about 200 cell cats came to mind.
Bamford Rose have some that they've developed with Quicksilver that should be available later this month. They should provide a bit more noise without raising the pitch and also increase the burbling on accelerator lift off. Just means having to raid the piggy bank again and find time to get back down there.

Must admit to having got used to my QS SuperSports and race cats now. Not sure if I want more noise, but it no longer shocks me when it goes through it's 'bwaaarp' zone at 3750rpm!
I am not going SS plus yet, but will see what the addition of Mike's manifolds (in the spring) do for the noise first. It isn't a racing car, it is a road car and I live in London so there are limits that I need to impose on myself. Also we're still able to chat, albeit loudly (it's a Volante) so I need to preserve that or the car will very soon not be fun for her, then it becomes less fun for me...

Not when I saw it. The cats and manifold are expected to be ready sometime this month. Just being finished off. Think he was having both fitted. I saw it with just the back box fitted. Still sounded very good! Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
