mmm...I guess they vary on how they are driven
Bingo - I was surprised by mine when I put 2 litres in after 4k miles of Alps I've spoken to the master tech at the dealer, the service manager and Rick and got the same reply.
Drive the V8 hard and it will use oil, drive the V12 hard and it will use more than the V8.
ETA Dealer checked mine over not a single drop or leak anywhere. So it's burning off (exhaust tips do get black)

For info, I've just come back from a trip to the south of France and back and rather than the 1,500 miles-a-litre I get over here, the car used about 750ml on a 2,100 mile, mainly autoroute, run.
How you drive obviously does make a difference.
I'm about to be driving down there, must remember to fill it up properly before. Then comes the challenge of finding the thread with info about what I need to do blah blah...How you drive obviously does make a difference.

Hey Shmee, you´re brave taking your Aston on a Club 18-30 holiday, I should say.I think the destructions on the inferior V8 engine were something along the lines of...
1. Start Up
2. Take to 2000 revs for 30 secs
3. Leave for 30 secs
4. Take reading on dipstick
5. Go and buy a DB9.

I have to put in about a litre for every 1,500-odd miles, which seems to me very heavy consumption.
No leaks or blue exhaust smoke, just gets burnt presumably. Oil does get pretty dirty.
Unless you've switched it to a 2-stroke, that's way too much IMO.No leaks or blue exhaust smoke, just gets burnt presumably. Oil does get pretty dirty.
