This looks fabulous- I love the winglet things on the front bumper and the new lights. No doubt a preview of the revised DBS front end.

Price is steep though

Dull colour, and don't like the wheels, but it does look stunning. Would have one over a DBS for that price, just in Volante form smile

why, oh why does it have Virage stuck onto the passenger airbag. Looks like they bought the lettering from Hellfrauds.
What sort of mong has to have the model printed inside the car! If you've got as far as buying the car do you really need reminding what model of Aston it is?

Looks like it's come from the Ford Focus school of makeovers.

The front end is more purposeful than a thing of beauty - but none the less, yes please! (assuming euro millions success on Friday) smile

I really detest the lights. The DB9/DBS lights are much better. The Virage units are not proportional to the car...much too long, and they have those 'me too' eyebrows.

The Virage is certainly not better looking than the DBS or DB9. For plain elegance, the DB9, for a more purposeful look, the DBS. The Virage hasd a leg in both camps and is not 'right'.

Looks nice with no front number plate!!
Needs to sit lower on those wheels....

Lovely car, no such thing as a bad looking Aston martin... with exception of the lagonda

I'm the opposite.

Original DB9 front lights were its worst feature. Front end looks like a fish.

The DBS is better but then the proportions of the grille etc look different due to the slats, holes and lumps.

Not sure about the flared lower edge at the front, but it's an improvement to my eyes.

Calling it a new model is a bit cheeky though. But from the company that calls the Cygnet an Aston Martin, what do you expect!

Correct. I've always thought the V8V front lights were superior, but the car as a whole was what I wanted so I bought it.

The Virage is a more refined version of the DB9 and is probably where the latter is heading. It is much more 'feminine' and 'feline' in appearance, with every panel except the roof (purportedly) different to the DB9.

I was impressed by my prodrive with it, though I didn't 'get' some of the features and I am not prepared to part with that kind of money for what I would perceive to be an upgrade.

Neil raises an interesting point vis-a-vis the interior labelling. When I bought my 12 month old DB9 it was externally debadged and the Dealer assured me that this was the current trend. I insisted that it was rebadged.

In a similar vein, I quite like the logos inside the car, more as a reaffirmation than anything else, though I do accept that it will not be to everyone's taste smile

I do like the new lights, but those new sills and especially the new front bumper are hideous. They distort the sleek lines of the original DB9 wich I have to say is one of the Best looking cars ever made!
With the DBS they created a really purposeful new look by 'just' adding new panels, but with the virage they have just succeed to make a good looking car not so good looking anymore...

Prefer the Cygnet.....much more feline and purposeful..Better proportioned the lights are just perfect with all that glass.....and the beauty of the single exhaust pipe sticking out just enough to give that aggressive look

You lot don’t half talk a load of bks sometimes

For me not very good ,I think the Virage is really not much of an upgrade why would you want to pay an extra £35,000 for it when the DB9 MY2011 is almost as good in terms of power together with ADS, upgraded sat/nav, bluetooth that works really well.
The Virage with fairy lights the Garmin sat/nav with smaller screen that has to be unplugged a la tom tom with not that much more power.
Looking the performance figures 0 to 60 are around the same as the DB9 as are the top speed 186mph DB9 190 however I suspect these are not quite accurate.

Virage 497ps/365kw/490BHP

DB9 476ps/350kw/469BHP

Not for me in terms of redesigned nose and those lights are a no no but its horses for courses and not value for money in my book

I had a butchers in an orange one at HWM a few weeks ago. Much prefer the V12V TBH (don't care about rear "seats"!).
