Will be taking the Aston on Friday (in Paris over the weekend for the OH's 30th) and parking in GRRC parking, which gets me a bit closer, shame it doesn't allow me to beat the traffic queues though! After 8am expect to wait for an hour to get in so take something where the radiator and fans work!

Top tips... don't stop moving if you're only going for a day, there is absolutely tons of stuff to see. And get a programme so you can see what you want going up the hill.

Thanks for the tip Yeti. I too am a Goodwood newbie (at my age using the 'V' word could be looked into as being a confession), and am doing a double dose with the auction and show on Sunday.

Is there anything on display on the Friday or is the auction the only thing to see?

Friday is a full-on Goodwood day as much as Saturday and Sunday.

I'd say pay extra for the grandstand seating also - the trackside area is very flat, so unless you're a tall chap it's hard to see much from ground level. Definitely take a hike up to the rally stages too, well worth it.

Arrive early or late.

If it rains, park carefully with how to get out in mind and take wellies.

Check out the car parks, they are often as interesting as the displays.

Watch the cars at the top of the hill at the crossing point after the wall; Better noise (bounces off the wall), smaller crowds.

Leave early or late.

The itinery gives no clue as to what time they'll be headed up the hill. Any ideas?

I assume the one-77 and Virage will be in the super car runs and usually there is an endurance car run and as the Zig has just done the 24hours at the nurburgring I guess it will be in that.

Looks like we shall fly in as the weather looks like it'll co-operate this year.

For those that haven't been before do cross the bridge as there is some interesting stuff other than the manufacturing stands on the other side of the track.

Cheers shmee. I shall try and be dribbling over the railings by then.
Given chance I'll snuggle our Azuro California Blue V8V up against yours...... Unless you take the DBS.
Chances are though I'll have no choice where I park. Bet I'm safer there though than any supermarket.
