Was in my dealers earlier today (north east England) and I saw a car I have admired for a couple month was all wrapped up waiting delivery -a lovely Vantage V12 in morning frost. In general chat I was told they had had a run on them with 4 going last week as people realised there is a limit on numbers which "has been reached".
He added that they had taken 3 orders for other cars just that morning in a further positive sign. Apparently the only model which wasn't selling many in this dealer was........ The Cygnet.

I'm yet to find a dealer tell me sales are poor when they had an incling I could be interested in a car!!!! Not sure of your relationship with the dealer so do excuse me if you have reason to trust but I think they're probably playing the game!!

PS - I do agree that dealers are slating the Cygnet tho!

PPS - V12 morning frost sounds nice

AM dealers are selling a lot of cars at the moment, record numbers in many cases.

I know some are actively looking for new stock.

It really was a. Gorgeous car. I was weighing up the cost of a divorce versus trading my V8 in for it!

That waould be Stratstones. My experience is a little tainted with them. They act no better than the Arthur Dales types, you know the kind I mean, sweet talk and lick you ass when they want the sale but once the deal is done and they have your loot, offer little in after care service or concider the bigger picture. Pitty really as I feel sure when it was Reg Vardy it may have been different

I had the opposite with them - gave them the enquiry and not heard a thing. Same group different branch in Cheshire complete opposite.
Though they tell there are no stocks of Vantage S's and all are on order/build dates for September frown
As he said credit crunch - whate credit crunch!
They have 4 DBS on 11 plates marked up as sold please do not touch in the show room along with another 5 cars of various types with the same.
Nice new Quantaum Silver V12V in there!

I had no idea it was anywhere near that low number of new cars each year; I'd have guessed at a much higher figure because even Ferrari slightly pip those numbers of new sales.

I can't remember which magazine it is, but the one that prints in the back how many cars from each company have sold in the last year definitely said about 100 Lambos and 450 Ferraris. I don't remember what it said about Astons.

Stratstone Wilmslow alone are selling about 25 per month just now, so the used car market must be very buoyant.

Just makes it more annoying to be bombarded with offers but not decent ones!

Exactly what I thought. It does seem quite low to say Aston generally sell cheaper cars than Ferrari.

Nice statistics, but I wasn't referring to the brand generally, or just new cars.

I'm struggling to sell my v8 roadster. Can anyone tell me why ? Is it just the price that is wrong ? I know the roof colour might put people off.
