I'm looking to transfer from my Ferrari 360 to a DB9 and went to see my first one today. It was being sold by a local dealer and was being sold for just under £40k. It had nearly 60,000 miles on it but I was surprised to see over 90,000 on the odometer when I started it up. I noticed this was in kilometers and was told that this could be changed, but the dealer started telling me something about the car and this was never shown. The speedo was my main concern as the KMH reading was the most prominent on the outside of the guage and MPH was in the smaller font in the inner part of the speedo. Is this normal? I've checked some pictures online and they seem to show the MPH on the outside. Should I be worried? Does this suggest the car is imported? I've just bought Grant Neal's book (excellent by the way!) and page 63 shows MPH on the outside.
On a side note, who do you recommend for pre-purchase inpsections? Bamford Rose are not too far from me and sound like a good outfit.
Also, if anyone wants to swap out of their DB9 into my Ferrari 360 (plus cash either way depening on negotiations) please let me know as the trade prices I have been quoted are rubbish!

Thanks Zod. I used the digital speedo anyway as I could convert this to MPH quite easily and it was easy to read.
Does the price sound okay for the mileage? You guys don't seem to be as paranoid about mileage as the Ferrari guys (mine's due to click over to 30,000 miles on a V plate so it's going to be worth tuppence at that point!) but most cars over 50k on the clock seem to hang around for ages. Makes me worry about future resale. I hate this because it makes me not want to drive my car so my thinking is to buy an already high (?) mileage car and then it won't matter if I put more on it.
