Hi All,

Picked up a meteor Grey 56 plate V8V a few weekends ago well the Girl friend did (so technically mine smile ). I will upload pictures when I get a chance! loving it and the noise! think its really well matched to UK roads seems alot of fun

one thing though how the hell do you heel and toe in it? I am used to 911's and they are just right with the peddle config..... I can just about get a blip (sometimes) but nowhere near to get the revs up into the power band in time. the break peddle just seems to far away. any pointers?

The Girlfriend loves the car but is a little bit scared of it. so hasn’t really driven it yet but we will rectify that this weekend with a trip up to the peak district

Top work! I'm sure that quite a few folks on here would follow up with "has she got a sister?"

Not me though!

I've had mine for 5 months and I can't H/T successfully more than 50% of the time. I think it's a combination of pedal placement and *lazy* throttle. Try double blipping the throttle on downshifts with your foot turned a long way inwards, it seems to work a little better and easier at higher rpms (5k+) and under heavier braking. If you do develop a technique then please do post it up, especially as it sounds rather ace.

Hi
I've come from 993RS and found the same problem. You really have to move/twist foot to achieve H/T. I was looking to have a replacement throttle pedal made - if it is closer to the brake, it will be easier.

Any thoughts, or is one available?

Had this same thought, I think an aftermarket pedal set may have to be fitted which would be a shame as the DB9 pedals are beautifully made! Or is there any adjustment down there to slide the throttle across? Could possibly just redrill the ones we have...

I have a very responsive throttle (after DMS remap) which blips beautifully on the downshift but H&T is not an option on the road - I think on track maybe I'd be braking hard/late enough to get my foot over, but not on the road.

If Rick is about - can the pedals be moved? Just off to clean my car, will have a look...

So is there anything I should look out for on these it’s in warranty but there any checks I should do?

one more thing the sodding breaks squeal really bad even if I put them through the standard heat cycle to delaminate them, do they need shaving on the leading edge like some cars to stop it?

one thing I have noticed is how much the V8V drinks, Jesus...

no GF will get a look in, she dosent want to put miles on it...hello GF wants a garage queen! I have a lightly fettled turbo when I need the speed fix, loved it with the stickers on for Le Mans this year. just a real shame that I looked a plonker driving to work with them still on so I had to take them off. Who would have ever thought the Porsche to be the sensible car with 4 seats smile

just seen the hever castle meet this sunday, would have loved to have gone to that, shame i have plans now though

Was just thinking... the brake pedal from an auto DB9 would probably be made to the same design as the manual one but is probably much wider. Wonder of they just screw straight on? Could be an option...

I'll bring my tape measure and a screw driver to Hever Castle and see how things measure up!

I have no problem with the brake and clutch pedals, but the throttle pedal is just too far too the right.
