Upgrading to a V8V Roadster. Advice please.
Discussion
Gents
I drive a Noble and bleeding ears after a spirited drive is starting to wear thin, so I have decided to go for a V8V Roadster and would like some advice what to look out for on used cars.
Are there essential options/upgrades/modifications that I will have to do if not already done?
Any expensive general wear and tear items that need replaceing?
What's the clutch life?
Is the 4.7 worth the extra £'s?
Thanks

Paraphrased from something I wrote on another thread:
Sports pack option would be a must to sharpen the car up though it is never going to drive like a Noble, it's a sports GT, not a sports-sports! factory or Prodrive upgrade (20bhp) if available on the 4.3 cars you're looking at. Then the sky is the limit on upgrades beyond this. Might be worth buying a cheap, leggy one than handing it to Bamford Rose to make it a refreshed 4.7 rocket-ship.
If you can, the 4.7 is the one to have, improves on the 4.3 in every way (from my readings), power, torque and all-round build quality. The newness of these is reflected in the price however.
They'll sound a lot better than a chattering wastegate in your ear as well!

Have the car checked by an Aston Marting garage Make sure the car passes the Aston Martin 140 point check, The check costs only £250-00 + vat so if you are buying privatley then make sure you at least have this done.I drive a Noble and bleeding ears after a spirited drive is starting to wear thin, so I have decided to go for a V8V Roadster and would like some advice what to look out for on used cars.

Or ensure that the car has an extended warranty....
Or just buy from an Aston Martin main dealer, pay a bit more but trust me can be worth the while as will have a full warranty and then eliminate having to be too careful.

After the Noble it has to be a 4.7 with Sportpack (+ the usual goodies), the Roadster is an awesome car, pick of the V8's IMO.
No I totally disagree why would you want to do stuff like this! Or do this

One idea - get a leggy 4.3 and get Bamford Rose to work their magic on it!I drive a Noble and bleeding ears after a spirited drive is starting to wear thin, so I have decided to go for a V8V Roadster and would like some advice what to look out for on used cars.
