Hello everyone. I am new to the forum so please forgive any unintended breaches of etiquette.

Ever since I was a boy I have aspired to one day be able to own an Aston. (I'm sure I'm not alone there). Very fortunately I am now in a position to finally make that dream come true.

But I have a problem. My other passion in life is golf (I know it's frowned upon!). I wonder if anyone else on the forum has the same dark secret?

If so, can V8Vs and Golf go together? I see the AM brochures show a set in the boot, but is this realistic? Is there room for anything else? Dare I ask if you can fit a power trolley on top of the bag?

I would really appreciate your comments.

Thanks in anticipation.

I've had a couple of V8V's and both me and the OH are golfers. We have been away for weekends and got two carry bags in and the weekends luggage. There is a useful shelf behind the seats that take overnight bags. Your Driver will also go in the boot but packed on top of the bag. You can even get a suit carrier in the boot as well. Simples!!!!

As for a power caddy I would doubt it - but someone else may know better.

Got a DB9 Volante know - no chance smilesmile

Just sold the Vantage after 4 happy years of ownership, but that's by the by.

Point being, you won’t be disappointed with the car.

A golf (cart) bag will only go in the boot if you remove all of your woods, which isn't very practical in my opinion.

I used to put bag on passenger seat and my powacaddy in boot.

Fine if only you, but obviously a non starter if you need to carry two!

V8V and golf are not happy bed fellows. Can only cater for 1 golfer and that at a push. Woods/Drivers don't fit in boot as they are too long. Trolly doesn't fit in boot with clubs unless you take out shelf (and I am talking about a pull along one not a power caddy)so I put this in the front passenger seat along with my driver. Having said all of this I used to muddle along with a 996 Turbo so this is a vast improvement !

Full size bag, power cart, driver and shoes all fit in boot. Bag in first, top of bag to the left, then remove both wheels from cart and place in shallow rear right hand side front of boot, power cart ( not Powacaddy but identical) on the left side with axle orientated front to back, driver on top of bag and shoe bag on top also. Oh forgot the battery, that fits in too to the left hand side deep part of the boot where the clubs are. Now for the kitchen sink, first remove the taps....... Seriously it does all fit without (much of) a problem, don't think about a broom handle putter though - who'd be seen with one of those anyway.

Isn't it easier to just use a golf cart?

Then again, some people like to golf in style.

Your Club Carrier will fit in the front passenger seat, no problem.

He has 2 legs and always calls you 'Sir'.

If you can afford the car you can afford the servant.

Enjoy and pics please, with golf clubs.

Roadster and have the golf bats sticking out of the roof?

Have done that last 2 years with Christmas trees, usually raises a few festive smiles with an 8ft tree sticking out of a car and crushed, cold other half sat behind me!

Hi BGR1,

Both my OH and myself are keen golfers and have no trouble getting our 2 retractable leg carry bags in the boot as you can see below.

My bag goes in first including drivers and woods. My OH's drivers and woods slot by the side and then her bag goes on the top. The boot then closes with the parcel shelf still in place. If you have more stuff the parcel shelf folds and sits in the bottom of the boot before the clubs go in. You can pile more stuff on top of the golf bags up to the rear window. There is also more space on the shelf behind the seats. I've been suprised just how practical the V8V is and no way should you let this put you off a purchase.

Confirm - I can fit two sets of clubs in the back of my V8V. However, after the round, I usually attach the clubs to the back of the car and drag them home behind me ... to teach them a lesson.

How will he see the road from there?
