Had a couple of occasions this week when my '10 V8V didn't start first time. When pressing the key (sorry ECU rolleyes ) the engined seemed to turn once then stop - as if I'd just quickly pressed it in then immediately released it.
Removing the ECU and re-inserting it all was fine.
Was wondering if anyone else had had this problem.
Although it's only happened twice this week, thinking about it I've only started the car four times, so it's a fairly high rate of occurrence!

if you have over mats fitted just make sure they have not ridden up under the pedals, working in Spain this week and one was a non start, reason being the clutch pedal could not be fully depressed,

Thanks Rick, but no mats fitted.
I'm sure the cluth depress bit is OK as the ECU surround lights red. Also, the engine does turn over, only just for a fraction of a second!
The first time it heppened I thought it was a flat battery, but then it started fine when I removed and re-inserted the ECU.

Yes I have had this on my MY10 V8R. Common denominator was hot days but talking it through with another owner he suggested that my clutch pedal may not be fully depressed which is similar to what Rick has advised. Since then I have made sure clutch is fully depressed and not had an issue.

Thanks. I'll double check it's fully depressed and see what happens. I've had problems with my seat memory so perhaps I'm a bit further from the pedals than before and wasn't pushing it down as far as before.
